El Rey Mexican Restaurant

Went tonight for the first time and Wow talk about impressed. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic and a lot of fun!!! Service was definitely top notch!!! My drink the Bahama mama was great!!! Great Portions!! The food came out fresh and piping hot!!! Everything tonight was spot on perfection!!!! Also the fried oreos are a must have!!!! Definitely number 1 on my list!!!! Highly recommend!!! To all who were working ya'll knocked it out the park!!!!!

My wife and I love this place! After spending the last 45 years in California, we were disappointed that we couldn’t find an authentic Mexcian restaurant in Vero Beach. That is until we found El Rey about two months ago. Since then, we have been back SIX times. It is the most incredible food find since we moved to Vero. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. This is the real deal: homemade Mexican food cooked by the owners. We have tried several dishes, all with the same results. We have enjoyed our meals and hope they stay put, because when you crave Mexican food, you have to have it. While I have been telling everyone I know about this place, they could do a few things to increase business. So, I do have a few suggestions for the owners. Their menu is fantastic, but not cheap by fast food standards. Those who come there won’t mind paying the price, but El Rey needs to know where they are located, which is a predominantly middle-class area with retired folks with disposable income looking for a decent and relaxing place to spend it. The bar has a great selection, and the drinks are fantastic. However, I suggest lowering the volume of the music in the bar area and changing the genre occasionally to please a more diverse crowd. Add TVs around the bar with American sports games such as basketball, hockey, American football, etc. Have “game nights” for big games. Overall, I would highly recommend El Rey for a perfect meal every time and a good night out at a real authentic Mexican restaurant. Go there. You will not be disappointed!

Went for lunch today with my daughter. Food was amazing! Biggest burrito I’ve ever seen. Service and atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back!

I’ve driven by this place many times but never came in. I’m so glad I finally did. The food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. I recommend the chicken fajitas!

Had shrimp fajitas with black beans. Very tasty,served still smoking hot. Friend had chicken fajitas. Atmosphere very nice just the right amount of lighting. Service was attentive... Fresh tortillas!

The flautas and traditional ceviche were very nice. My husband got a huge burrito that also was pretty tasty. The booths were spacious and the servers were friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and there was no background music playing or anything to set the atmosphere, which I thought was a little odd. The food was good though.

2 for 1 margaritas for 7 was a great buy. The chille rellenos dinner was more than enough for the two of us to share. Plus it was excellent. The flan and fried ice cream desserts were fabulous.

I am so happy to have found a good Mexican food restaurant on Vero! The steak churrasco was so good and you can’t beat the two for one margaritas! They make them with orange juice which is a bit sweet but a nice nod to Florida. Excellent service and clean restaurant for the win!
